Σπούδασε Οικονομικά (Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης, 1983). Έκανε μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές και διδακτορικό στα Οικονομικά (Πανεπιστήμιο Νέας Υόρκης, 1989, 1992). Καθηγητής (2009) των Οικονομικών, Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής (2001), Επίκουρος Καθηγητής (1996) και Λέκτορας (1995) στο τμήμα Οικονομικών του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου.
